Asparagus with Blue Cheese and Bacon (Air Fryer Recipe)

Recipes

May 06

A tasty side dish that will go well with anything.  And it’s so easy in your air fryer, but you can also adjust this for the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Celtic sea salt and pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Blue cheese
  • 5 slices bacon

Instructions

Fry up your bacon and place on paper towels. When they cool down, you can chop them up.

Preheat air fryer to “Bake” at 350 degrees. The thickness of your asparagus determines the amount of time you’ll air fry them. If you fry them too long, they get really crispy.

Trim asparagus ends. Place the spears in the baking pan, and drizzle olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Shake them around so they all get some olive oil on them. Finally, top with minced garlic.

Roast, uncovered. About four to five minutes if the asparagus is very thin, seven minutes if medium thick, and 8-9 minutes if really, really thick.

Remember to set your timer for at least 3 minutes more than you’re baking the asparagus.

Open the top to your air fryer and make sure the asparagus is spread out. Sprinkle the blue cheese (Danish blue, gorgonzola, stilton, or best of all, Roquefort) all over asparagus, and add the chopped bacon.

It takes just two or three minutes to melt the cheese. In fact, you can lift the lid and check it out.

Enjoy!
