We’ve been writing about sugar alternatives for a long time, and since our first article, new products have been popping up and we figured now is the time to discuss them all on a single page (and more will be added as we find them).
Our recipes at this site, for the most part, are designed to keep blood sugar spiking to a minimum. For example, our Banana Chocolate Chip Omega Muffins were tested by a diabetic. We gave him a “Texas Sized” muffin (the biggest we could make, and he took a blood glucose level test before and 40 minutes after eating it. He found that it had raised his blood sugar just four points. He gave me a huge hug when we met saying, “I’ve never had a muffin like that that I didn’t have to take insulin afterwards.”
We’ve also started including Mangosteen Pericarp in our recipes. It’s been used to treat diabetes for over a thousand years in South East Asia. You can read all about it here: Mangosteen Pericarp.
