Healthy Pie Crust

The most unhealthy part of a pie is the crust. We really do not need over-processed wheat in our diets, and yes, you can find crusts made from healthier grains, but what’s healthier than flax and chia?

It’s quite simple, so let’s get going

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Ground Flax Seed
  • ¼ Cup Powdered Chia Seed
  • 1 Tablespoon BochaSweet
  • 1 Egg
  • Pinch Celtic Sea Salt (finely ground)
  • Water (about a quarter cup)

Directions

Put everything but the water in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Then add the water, just a bit at a time, until it all sticks together in a big sticky ball.

Then grease your pie pan with a mixture of coconut oil and liquid lecithin, and press out to cover the pan. And bake this for 15 minutes at just under 350 degrees.

Let it cool, and then pour in your filling.
